Submit a proposal for funding of at least $25,000 and you will receive $1,000 in professional development funds. The principal investigator must collaborate with the research and grants coordinator to set up a work plan and timeline for submission.

  2. title of the project
  3. a paragraph describing the project
  4. anticipated amount of award.

 

Proposal Preparation Incentive Form

Faculty may apply for a $6,000 summer salary to conduct research activities. Upon completion, faculty are required to submit a proposal for external funding within one year.

The deadline to apply is December 10.

2019 Summer Faculty Fellowship Application

The Faculty Mentor Support Contract is an agreement to provide support for faculty conducting independent undergraduate research projects.

Students involved in the project are required to present the findings at the PSU Research Colloquium.

Instructors may apply for up to $1,000 to include a faculty mentored student research project in a course. The funds must be used for equipment or consumables needed for the project. Upon completion of the project the instructor must submit a report describing the project, the students’ activities related to the project and the outcomes of the project.

Students involved in the project are required to present the findings at the PSU Research Colloquium.

The deadline for fall applications is September 21.
The deadline for spring applications is February 16.

Upon completion of the project the faculty member must submit a report describing the project, the students’ activities related to the project and the outcomes of the project.

Funding Application

Faculty may apply for up to $1,000 to provide a stipend for an undergraduate student to work on a faculty research project during the academic year.

Stipends for Students Application

This application is completed by the faculty member mentoring the undergraduate research project. Faculty may apply for up to $300 per student with a maximum of $1,000 (per project) for students to present the undergraduate research project at professional meetings. Students must be listed as co-author and must be presenting project findings.

Students involved in the project are required to present the findings at the PSU Research Colloquium.

Undergraduate Student Travel Funds Application

One of the primary functions of colleges and universities is to educate students. By training and
educating future leaders, scholars, workers and professionals, higher education institutions are uniquely
positioned to prepare students to understand and address sustainability challenges. Institutions that offer courses covering sustainability issues help equip their students to lead society to a sustainable future.

Research Poster Printing -
Research and Grants Administration will fund the cost of printing research posters for presentations at professional meetings. Send an email with the name of the presenter; title of the poster; name of the meeting the poster will be presented at and date of the meeting. Research and Grants Administration will reply with approval to have the poster printed at PSU Printing and Design Services.

Matching Funds - 
Research and Grants Administration will consider requests for matching funds required for proposal submission. Every effort will be made to provide matching funds and assist in finding other possible partners to meet the need for matching funds.

Travel to Meet with Funding Program Managers -
Faculty may request travel funding to meet with funding program managers to discuss ideas for research related to the funding agency.

Proposal Writing Training -
Faculty may request funding to attend proposal writing workshops and/or online programs. Research and Grants Administration will send out announcements for training opportunities through Mr. Bulk-E.
